Pure product is white crystal, m. P.: 90-91° C. Industrial product is white solid, purity: 80-90%, m. P.: -89° C, specific weight: 1.35. Easily Soluble in polar solvents like water, methanol, ethanol, acetone and halogenated hydrocarbons like dichloromethane, dichloroethane. Low solubility in benzene, toluene, xylene. Easily decomposed in alkaline medium.
