Pharmacological Effect

1. Inhibitory effect

Colchicine can bind to tubulin dimer, prevent tubulin conversion, and stop cells in the middle of mitosis to death.

Through nimal experiments, it is found that colchicine can reduce the death of male mice with toxic liver necrosis, preventing carbon tetrachloride-induced liver fibrosis and improving its liver function. Through experiments in China, it is also confirmed that colchicine can reduce the formation of collagen fibers in liver, reducing liver fibrosis. Clinical trials have shown that colchicine can improve symptoms, reducing the liver and spleen, reducing intrahepatic fibrous tissue and increasing liver blood flow. In conclusion, vivo and in vivo experiments have shown that colchicine can inhibit the proliferation of fibroblasts, inhibit the expression of collagen and protein synthesis, promote the activity of collagenase, increase the activity of MMP-1 and MMP-9. Thereby colchicine can reduce the production and deposition of collagen, promote collagen decomposition, and play a role in anti-fibrosis. 2. Anti-inflammatory Effect

The study found that in vitro glioma cell growth was significantly inhibited and apoptosis induced by colchicine.
